I sort of see what Chris is meaning.
NOBODY can post their details / reveal their location on the forum…even on occasions "I’m in (a town)" – whether open page or member only except if you pay a bit extra for a better membership you are allowed to put them in the buy/sell section that everybody can then see which sort of defeats the purpose of Rule 7 (PM only)…if it’s publicly visible.
In theory, even a casual browser could search the whole buy ‘n’ sell section back to 2002 trawling for the hallowed contact details for anybody that’s ever listed anything.

Only people with access to make an initial "Post" can advertise if they have something to sell.
Anyone can view the "Buy-Sell-Employ" forum but you need a membership to advertise within it. i.e. "make the initial post there"
Even Signapp and the UKSB Toolbar allows anyone to view items for sale.
You can leave an email or phone number if you are selling a used product or looking to employ.
Rule 7 is general forum rules, it does not mention the "Buy-Sell-Employ" forum, which is a members forum.
