roller shutter door graphics
Posted by George Elsmore on July 4, 2017 at 8:51 amHi All, we have been asked if it is possible put graphics on this roller shutter door. I have had many issues trying to apply vinyl to this type of door as they never adhered. The door is not used so I have the option of trying something else I was toying with getting a frame made and fitting fabric but never tried that before so would like some ideas if poss please.

Assuming they’re a standard size, the sections are 600mm deep 😉
What issues have you had with vinyl not sticking?

Not teaching you to suck eggs but check it’s had the protective plastic film removed from the door, it’s like cling film. Perhaps it’s been coated with something, it looks new & shiny. The ones we’ve fitted have been haggard old things, and never had a problem.

the doors have been there a good while and we have had this issue with other doors like this before on other buildings

We’ve got some units opposite with doors similar to this, and we used magnetics on them,
so could be worth checking to see if this would be possible. -
We did these doors for pyramid a while ago. They specified Mactac for one, Avery for the other. I preferred the Avery myself but both are still there

I know David from Poppy SIgns did some proper nice shutter wraps at his place.
I’m almost certain he shared them on the boards.
Might be worth waiting for him to reply.
