What is it about Rolex watches?

For the past few weeks I have been inundated with Junk email offering me genuine and fake Rolex watches 🙄

I have always been under the impression that the only people that bother to buy Rolex’s are drug dealers, pimps, and second rate “Celebrities”. Why on earth do they think that I (a man of great discernity, integrity and taste) desire to own such a vulgar timepiece?

Has anyone else been inundated with these emails, or is it just me?

(my apologies to anyone reading this who owns a Rolex 😳 )

Yeah mate, I was getting 5 a day (I have several email addresses)

I have blocked any referrence to rolex in my ‘block sender list’ so only a few slip thru now.

I am a Timex man myself. My Uncle had a Rolex tho, always wondered what he did for a living, now I know! 🙄

Still Getting them along with enlargement pills, Chemists etc etc (!) .
What an annoying sad life some people choose to live.
Seems whatever software you buy they still get through.

I use MailSmith with SpamSieve and have just about cured my spam problem, to the extent where I might get a couple a week slip through. Just as importantly, I don’t lose any genuine messages either.

😮 If I took advanatage of all the kind offers I get daily through my e-mail I would have a 4 foot long c??k that never went down, 94 mortgages, 271 degrees from imaginary universities, 8612 memberships to porn sites an armful of cheap rolex’s ( and would have won the lottery every week for the past year ).

Makes you wonder though, as for them to keep sending out spam, some people must actually reply to these things 😉

    You should be so lucky
I’m dependent on running out into the back garden in time to read the Sun dial before the sun pops behind a cloud.

Mind you we have replaced our candles for Davie lamps now. Means we can stay up a little later

:lol1: :lol1: tell it as it is Phil!!!!! Go Phil, Go Phil, Go Phil!!!!!

I have a couple of watches and don’t wear either ….. although that probably has something to do with them being too big and I keep forgetting to take them to be re-sized …… I cant believe the tiny, weeny, teeny, midget screws that are holding the links together 😮 very tiny watch people must have made them …… :dance4:

You have to really watch closely for the tiny watch people : Else you’ll miss ‘um

In the Bible there’s an account of Peter, one of the Apostles
He was the tiniest of the tiniest of people because it says:
    “Peter slept on his watch”

Nik, do hairy men harbor more dingleberries than their less hirsute brothers?
And, Phil, if you take advantage of the enlargement spam, you can wear your Rolex on a different appendage!

Can you get a Rolex with a leather strap? I don’t fancy the expanding metal straps – they “trap” your hairs :lol1:

Old vintage Rolex came with leather straps ( pre WW2 ones ) and are a lot classier than the big chunks of gold ( If I wanted to be that obvious I’d just stick my bank statement on a chain and wear that ! ).

My grandfather was a watch repairer so I spent many happy hours as a kid watching him work and being given old watches to take apart.

I’ll get an ear bashing for this, but I quite like big chunky watches 🙄 Admittedly the Rolex has been copied and copied, spawning some of the most hideous watches known to man with little dials that pretend to tell you the time in Japan whilst timing the intervals between each step you take on those country walks. There is something to be said though about having a big chunky watch, and that something isn’t a swear word 😉

As far as junk mail goes, I think they have forgotten me 🙁 I rarely get offered ‘performance’ enhancing items, jewellry or anything else for that matter these days, although I have been offered my own camel 😮 I get more through the post, the most annoying of which is the South African guy who keeps asking me to transfer £2 mil into my bank account that he’s just scammed out of his local government 👿 If its not a scam, I’m Mary Poppins!

    Cheers, Dewi
