    Hi guys.
I saw a post on here a few days ago about using the perf cut functions, so I’m having a go on my versacamm vsi.
Everything is set up and working. I have a regular cut line on my work and then a perf cut a millimetre or so beyond that.
My question is, what pressure do you usually set the perf cut at?
I’m using Metamark MD3 and their 705 gloss laminate. My settings on versaworks are 225g/f for my regular cut which is nice and clean, but the perf cut is maxed out at 300g/f and barely cuts through the backing sheet.
Is there something i’m doing wrong or is the metaguard backing paper to thick?
I’d be appreciate your thoughts and or suggestions.
    Many thanks :bangshead:

    Hey Gary,

We are using the orajet 3164 (always get digits mixed up could be different) for stickers. We don’t laminate ours either unless requested. But with a fresh blade I can cut perf cut at 190grms. Could possible do it at a little less. Also have it set to cut at 25mm a score.

Not that any of that helps with the issue but that is my settings on 540 version of machine.

    Thanks for getting back.
I wanted to leave my resolution to this problem for future visitors, if they come across the same issue.
Really straight forward as it turns out…..
I duplicated the perf cut on my artwork in corel so it effectively cuts the perforation twice, once and then straight after so there was no issue with alignment.
    Very happy with the results.

I’m only using 65gf to do con cut then using 175c.f. for my perfcut without Lamination
