Paul, not sure if you can plot directly from either photoshop or corel 12, have you any other software that you can use to plot? You may need to design in one program and export to another to allow you to plot.
Have you installed the drivers for the plotter. -
with corel load the windows drivers it is treat as a printer.
as far as PS is concerned have a think about it and see if you can answer that one.it also has its own basic softwear.

It came with Dr Stika but i cant use eps files etc only bitmaps. Corel is seeing the printer in the printer setup menu but refuses to do anything when i press print?
-
the corel page and the driver page has to match.
a black hairline defines what is cutchris
sr stika does convert bitmaps quite well.

Do Roland not have support for this printer? Have you checked their web site?

Paul,
In corel you have to change the cutline to 0.001mm do this by pressing F12 and change the outline setting.
-
David, so changing this setting will allow me to use Corel?
Peter, checked Roland Website and nothing regarding v.12. Corel.
Did i mention i have a Creation PCUT on order also, should be here next week 😀

:lol1: just pulling your leg mate… as long as its from flynn signs or signwizard you should be fine. both companies give support on their machines and both only sell ce approved models.

You’ve got to "cut" or "copy" your selected cut area from corel, and "paste" in DR STIKA. It will squash your design lenghtwise, but simply stretch it bach to original size with the drag hanles in Dr Stika. I seem to remember something about selecting no fill for the work in Corel, but could be wrong. Its been 7 years since I used a Stika!!
Be prepared – this "cutter" is S-L-O-W !!

Paul,
I havent used the stika but if its showing as a printer in corel then i would think makin sure the cutline is set at 0.001mm would do the trick installed of course

Do you have Illustrator? If you do, there is a Plug-In called CutChoice
available for download from Roland. Also, what looks like a newer version
called CutStudio, although I haven’t used this. Basically, when selected
from your filter menu, a pop-up window opens which allows you to define
cut paths, rotation, copies etc. From what I remember, it was quite fully
featured. I think CorelDraw used to be supported, but Illustrator is better anyway. 😉Try here:

Dave i think you will find that .001 mm is a hangover from ver 7.
v8 ? onwards a hairline will do.Paul not being nasty here but i fell you are not aware of the basic difference between bitmaps and vector files and is fundamental to how the plotter operates if this is so please ask else say thank you i know that.
