We’ve not been having any success getting our pC600 to cut from Adobe Illustrator v9 or 7.

We also find that the RolandColorChoice RIP does not work properly with Windows 98.

I won’t post too much technical detail at this stage, but if these symptoms ring any bells and anyone has any thoughts or questions, I’d like to hear from you.

(?) Well chosen parallel /serial port communication?
    (?) Using right driver version?
(-) Try to send the “demo cut” – usually a small utility/graphic file supplied with the plotter.

Ondra, thanks for the speedy reply.

    To answer your questions

    1. New parallel cable connected to LPT1.

    2. Yes, correct driver.

    3. The test cut works. It prints a Windows Test Page. It will also print & cut as a network printer from SignLab5. But to fit with my workflow I really need it to print from Illustrator.
