Roland Bar Codes
Hey Guys,
To anyone following my Saga… The damaged Roland PC60 only ended up being $150 to repair. It was $146 worth of labor (the guy had to pound the door hinge straight) and $3.99 for a part.
All was covered by insurance, and Beacon in NJ (roland dealer) said the machine was otherwise in great shape.
That being said, we started printing and I’m very pleased with everything coming out of it.
I’m curious if anyone has a list of the Roland Bar Codes (those little numbers on the cartridges) and their corresponding process or spot colors.
Fortunately, we got nearly 80 cartridges that came with the machine. Unfortunately, most of them aren’t in their correct boxes and we aren’t 100% sure which colors are exactly what.
I’ve done a few google searches but haven’t found anything.
The only one I’m aware of is that:
11 – Silver
14 – Magenta
12 – Black
13 – Yellow
22 – Some shade of blueNot a very good start 🙁

Alison’s got me re-plumbing the bathroom – I spent all day yesterday dragging myself around on me back under the floor boards trying to re-route some pipes. Today’s agenda – more of the same!!

this was a picture i took passing phill up in livingston just last week.. i couldnt stop. but managed to give him a shout and one of the guys in the van took a lucky picture snap.. turned out well, we thought..

Here was what came out of the printer today. These were for my other business. The orange ones are coming straight out of the machine and the silver ones are already domed (tough to see that from the angle of the pictures though).
I have no idea why the black vinyl looks so dirty. I swear I cleaned it 🙂

Back to the original subject, colour codes are as follows:-
Cyan – 35R, Magenta 34R, Yellow 33R, Black 32R, Red 21, Blue 22, Gold 8, Silver 11, Orange 36R, Green 37R -

Sorry Phil, I knew that there would be someone on here with a capri and it was only a matter of time before they came along, didn’t realise it would be that quick 😉 Nothing wrong with the capri itself, it’s just the fact that I don’t think I was even born when they were released….? (PS I was born in 1980 so correct me if I’m wrong).
Jom, I’m curious here (and I’m sure phil is too). I understand the silver onto black gettin a good print but how on earth did you manage to print orange onto black and get a good output??
When I use process colours on a PC600 they go all transparent unlike your’s.

Well, it’s a bit of a trick of the lighting to be honest. The color is a zeronine.com color. It’s Bright Orange. With no light on it, it is still orange but it’s a bit of a brownish orange. With a little bit of natural light on them, they really glow as you see in the picture.

I appreciate the info.
Do you know if those are for Roland bar codes only? I’m positive that the colors I have here have totally different barcodes from the ones you just mentioned.
I’m wondering if most of the ribbons I have here are from Zeronine.com

Those codes I listed are from actual Roland Cartridges. 😀
