    I’m not surprised.

The value of the pound has plummeted due to the money markets recognising that the long term effects of Gordon Browns policies will be hyper inflation in Britain. Because of exchange rates – imports are rocketing in price.

This hyper inflation is required to counter the effects of printing so much money – or as Gordon Brown prefers to portray it :- "Pumping money into the economy".

As Harold Wilson once claimed – "The pound in your pocket will not be affected"

    ..yeah right 🙄

do you mean its going up from 11,000 to now 14,000 kev? because its already risen by £1000 in the past couple of months…

crying shame that, i know the reasons for the increases and accept them as all else begins to increase around us. but having seen this machine at the Roland / UKSG open day and the price Roland was launching it at, i honestly thought this was the entry level machine too beat over all others… excellent machine, excellent software with an excellent price tag to boot…
Hats off to Roland on this bit of kit, just a bloody pity these price increases had to be enforced. 😕

what i was told is that it will rise by £2000 so will take it to the £13000 – £13500 mark i’m sure that deals will be out there but not as good as there have been. Finance is becoming another issue, more so now that they are going to be dearer.

Well its a shame if you dont already own a printer, but if you do, the second hand value of your machine just increased in proportion. And just as far as finance is concerned, that is how we got into this mess in the first place, only buy what you can pay for

Unless you has cash to spend I think most may find financing a printer more difficult than previously…….the banks struggle to give people money for mortgages never mind business purchases.

I think anyone who bought equipment in the last six months will be glad. The barriers to entry in our market just got greater which can be good news for us.
