  • Road signage pole clip source?

Posted by Robert Lambie on August 22, 2007 at 11:59 am

    Hi folks
I’m looking for a bit of help on a new supplier.
We do "allot" of health and safety signage. mostly the higher end of the market type safety signs as opposed to screen printed hips plastic type ones.
allot of the time we use channel and clips, banding equipment and the like on the aluminum signage, and its here i feel we maybe paying a bit too much for our pole clips etc I was wondering does anyone have a reputable source for Road sign clips and the like?

I do have good suppliers already but i am wondering what some are paying south of the border for same?

If you were on this side of the pond Id say yes. We actually have a Fence company around the corner and if not I use a supplier that only does aluminum signs for cities, and they carry all the stuff needed.

Hi Rob, try Foregale in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire. (01924 414888)
They supply posts, channel and clips plus white faced aluminium.
I think they are very reasonable.

Thanks for all the help/replies guys, i really do appreciate it!

From the ones i have called so far i have already made a good saving.

we buy in boxes of 100 clips.

Blackburn metals managed to save me £35 per box…
Close behind was Tofco saving me £30 and Righton saving me £25 per box…
Now the shocker for me was Rennicks UK costing me £145 more than i pay now for 100 Clips! 😮

George… you need to change to some of these guys for your clips mate. 😀

    Hey……this is useful information.

We always bought ali sheet and road sign blanks from Klockner (ASD Metals now) and it made sense to buy the clips from them too, but it’s really useful seeing what the other prices are out there – thanks for posting your results! 😀
