RIP Software Needed and for Sale
Posted by John.Taggart on February 10, 2010 at 3:23 pmHi
I have Wasatch Softrip for a HP. It’s mint as new with security dongle. Looking to do a swap, sell whatever in exchange for any decent rip to run a Mutoh Valuejet 1604.
Any interest for sale, purchase or swap get in touch.
Cheers
John

Why do you want to get rid of Wasatch, I have used a number of rips over the years and Wasatch is one of the best for all round speed and colour? If you are after profiles look here
http://www.wasatch.com/ic/imageconfigs. … hvj1204#a3
Or get Rob Bodington in as he is the best guy I have found to do profiling.
I only wish Wasatch would release a proper driver for the XC540 as having to use VersaWorks is a daily nightmare compared to using Wasatch.

Hi Ian
Maybe I’m being a bit dim here. Are you saying that I can use the Wasatch RIP even though its the HP edition to run the Mutoh buddy?

Get the profiles from their website and put them in the config. folder of the rip. Open the rip and set one of the rip ques to the Mutoh. If it will not let you select the Mutoh printer it may well be locked.
If it is a limited edition to only HP you can contact Wasatch and get an up grade. They will supply you with a serial to enter to unlock the relevant printers.
Give them a ring

Thanks Ian
Yeah I think its locked for HP only.
I’ll give them a call.

I have only heard good reports about Wasatch and i think rob was speaking to someone regarding us "switching completely" over to Wasatch. maybe worth holding onto it?

Hi Andrew
We used it for our old HP5500 which we’ve since moved on. We’re running our 2 Mutoh Valuejets onPosterprint which we got with the kit from Spandex. I agree that it would be better to run these from Wasatch but I think we need an unlocking code ro something to do so.
Cheers

I did the same as you originally bought the Roland edition of Wasatch but then paid to get the full release and now run are Mimaki through it.

Russell.
