• RIP Buddy Mate

Posted by Paul Humble on July 23, 2010 at 8:38 pm

Im not normally one to share grief on t’internet but this place was like a home to me for 2 years and I know a few of you knew my love for my dog.

Buddy, the nicest Boxer ive ever met passed away today after having a huge seizure. He has been getting worse for a few months and I had to make the decision that no pet owner wants to make and let him go. For a 12 year old Boxer he was amazing, nothing ever got to him or angered him. Its sort of ironic that his heart was his downfall, as it was his heart that made him so special to me.

    My sincerest sympathies Paul.

I don’t think we fully appreciate how much these little animals mean to us until we have to say goodbye.

Even in this time of loss, remember the goods times and the joy he brought you – and you gave to him.

So sorry to hear about Buddy Paul, having been through many similar experiences before I truly sympathize.
Macey is now 10, and although she looks great, she is showing signs of age, and her breed are generally known to have about 11 years, so I am gearing myself, and the family up for the dreaded day.

Thinking of you and your family

    Heartbreaker Pual

12 years is a good innings though, we only got 8-9 out of our Boxer.

it’s devastating to lose a dog, often taken for granted for just being there but, the goodbyes are genuinely heartbreaking,

was only thinking the other day about my springer and she went about 6yrs ago, feel for ya dude.

my sympathies too mate. We’ve lost a few dogs recently, all due to old age. They are so much like family, always see the good in us, never judge us, always happy to see us. We could learn a lot from our dogs.

Thoughts are with you mate from half way round the world.

    Take care

Sorry to hear about your beloved dog.
Nothing like a boxer for being a loyal and intelligent companion.
