I’ve been printing using flexi rip for five years now version 7.6. It does throw up the odd error which you learn to work around.
One problem I’ve found is a file greater than 150 mb will regularly stall during ripping. Remedy is to scale size back to less than that.
Files with a transparency also stall and need to be rasterised into a bitmap.
Some other files need to be rasterised and then printed. Try this and see do you still get the error

You could try clearing preferences. If that doesn’t work try reinstalling flexi as it may have become corrupt

well I doubt if you will get any further help, especially from the people who have spent good money on a lisenced copy…
if you are in business you should not be using illegal software.

Do you realize Brian, the rest of us wouldn’t have to pay so much for our legit software if people didn’t use cracked versions. How are legit sign companies supposed to compete price wise with those that effectively software

No mate. everything I use for my business has to be of good quality, and it will give me a return on my investment.
Yours is a typical case, the cracked software has let you down, you cant now use it to make money, but you are asking legitimate users for help! which is a bit rich isnt it? If my sign software software gives problems I just get onto cadlink and they do their best to sort out the problem, thats what I am paying for.
No i would not have done the same as you, in fact when I first started it cost me far more in real terms, for legitimate software than it would today, Everyman and his dog are now making signs on the cheap, and with fleabay plotters and iffy software.
Most people on this site consider themselves to be professionals,
and if you are using cracked software, whatever it is, for your business,
them many here would consider you to be a cowboy.

I must admit though you have a bit of bottle,
admitting your software is cracked on this site, when it is looked at by most of the suppliers!

BTW I dont spit my dummies out, I just swallow them whole

yes i do realize that and i know i probally would not have this problem with a pucker flexi programme but like i said i new no different when i bought the machine kevin and the software came with it and only found out much later it was a copy and there are a lot out there in all programmes even windows, i am not saying its right but any one of you would have done the same if you didnt know based on human nature been what it is

Now you know the situation Brian, if you buy a legitimate version, you shouldn’t have any more problems and if you do Scanvec Amiable will be able to sort it

Just a thought, is versaworks free for roland users? Though I read that on here somewhere. Could maybe get a cheaper design package and rip using that?

All I use is Corel and troop on the cadet.

Don’t think you are going to convince too many people that you didn’t know that the software was hookie in the first instance though! 😉

Especially when the CRACK folder is there and you have to use it before you reboot.

Think you are right Adrian, first thing I always do when I get any new software is have a good look at it. Would have thought it fairly obvious it was a crack copy by any registration details.
Second thing I always do is make sure it is registered in my name even if I buy software second hand which I have done in the past.

I’m still running a computer with windows 98 because I can’t afford to upgrade the software.
