Richard Clark & Kevin Beck
Hi all just thought I would mention that tonight I was flicking through a copy of a trade mag “few months old” when I noticed Richard Clark on one of the pages. It just so happened he was picking up an award from mactac. Racoon digital had won, one of the categories and this was being covered by the mags… well done mate! And well done racoon!
It would be good to get a picture of you for the boards mate..

On the subject of magazines – what about the cscs cards!!! – Isn’t this going to put the kybosh on a few small sign companies activities? And will it eventually extend to exclude non card holders from installing any sign outside (e.g shop signs and factory signs).
Well done the BSGA for representing the majority of britsh sign makers..

It`s me alright.
That was done about 12 months ago.
Got a call from a chap at Roland. promised me a set of tapes if he did a feature on me and the roland. Mainley bulling the roland up.
He asked me a few questions, and then ignored everything I said and wrote something completly differant.
Never did get that set of tapes.

souds about right mate… not interested in what you have to say.. they know what they are gonna put before hand..
i had the same bother on somthing simular set-up in various mags.. i asked to see it before it went to print and they did. had to change it all around.. not what i wanted but in the end they did publish what i agreed to.. good job i guessed this would happen.. saying that, in one mag they did half a page on the group and called it (!) uksignshop.com (!) best bit was throughout the whole story then mentioned the site with proper address but headed it big and bold completely wrong.. 😡 👿
the mags in a way are not to blame. they make a living from the advertisers so cant be seen to down a product or company that spend allot on advertising… one of the reasons i wanted the site. to find out the real pros and cons of things out there.. get the real veiws from the real sign makers. (!)
