I don’t think it was a drain pipe Chris, its the expansion joint in the building !!!!.

The rainwater pipe is sunken in the brickwork I think. Great one for detail those Victorians!

    Hi mate.. Great work!
Im a little confused on the pipe too.. If sunken then that explains it I suppose. ๐Ÿ™„

Regarding fitting etc. what type of trim, backing etc did you use to fit this and did you come across any sagging of panels. If so, what did you find best to prevent/help this?

    Regarding design.. Constructive criticism:
I would have made the numbers much smaller. A sign this size doesnโ€™t, or shouldnโ€™t need the numbers to be emphasized over all else.
The logo I would have lowered slightly to align with the second line of text and the BSI logo ide have made smaller too..
This is a huge sign, so anything on it should be big and well spaced.. I just feel things a little too big.

Thanks for showing mate. Great work ๐Ÿ˜‰

Off a pair of ladders? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Are you madder than a mad person who is quite mad? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Brilliant job though and your co. vehicle is a real stunner! Bet that turns some heads when you roll up for a sign job ๐Ÿ˜€

Nice job, but surely this is the proof not the actual sign in the flesh? (There is too much dithering on the lower right edge) But may be I am wrong, come on put us out of our missery. ๐Ÿ™„

To answer Rob first, we mounted 3×1 battoning to the wall around the edge and where each sheet would join first, then lifted each sheet into place, fixed with 2 screws at the top to take the weight and then the rest of the way around. Then just fastened 1 inch alu angle around to tidy the edges.

The drainpipe is sunken into the wall.

It took 2 of us about 6 hours from start to finish to fit.

    Any more questions?

Also another photo from another angle.
