Renault 5 Turbo Graphics Needed
Posted by Paul Humble on November 6, 2008 at 6:50 pmdoes anyone know here I can get some replica Renault decals for a mid 1980’s Renault 5?
I have bought a restoration project but cant find the graphics I need and I dont have the equipment yet to do these myself.

Its the same as this Peter. A thick red pinstripe and the grey is a cluster of dots about 2-3mm diameter.
If I cant find one ill try to make 2 similar using my cutter but I think it will struggle with the dots. The pinstripe is no trouble obviously.

The one ive just bought is lovely, never been boy racered up either, just a nice standard car.

Coming backwards through a hedge near you soon! 😉
Enjoy! I have a 106 Rallye now I’m old & can insure it 😛

Isn’t the bottom section a printed fade (dither)?
I really don’t envy the cutting dots method – as if you lose a couple after it’s been applied they’ll stick out by NOT being there!
That’s a job for an ‘Edge’ if there ever was one!

you need someone with a gerber to repro the stripe Paul,
the effect is a halftone fade, but because the base is black it needs printing to clear with a couple of passes of silver, or at least a white base and then the top colour,Peter

I cant post in the subcontract section yet because Rob hasnt sent me my upgrade link (ha’way man Rob).
Ill have to ask around for someone with a gerber.
It is a fade and it is on clear as standard.

Hi Paul, I almost bought one of these back in the 90’s ended up going for a 205 1.9, all good cars. I’ll make this up for you, we have an Edge, hope this is allowed Rob, if you donate the cost to Children in Need????

Sounds good to me, just remember that the width of the edge is 300mm, I’ll even throw in an abrasion guard for you.
Peter may need some advice in terms of gradient fills on this one.
Regards
Jason
