Removing paint from a fibreglass sign – help needed please?
It might sound a bit silly but is it possible and how? Im only asking as i personally have never had a hand painted fibreglass sign in. I looked at a job before christmas, that was to re-letter 2 fibreglass pub signs. I got the go-ahead after the holidays, took the signs down and i went to strip them and realised they were actually hand painted :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

your only option would be to sand down and re-paint if your just sticking vinyl on.
If its a traditional pub sign with raised sides, you could cut a panel of ACM that sits inside the recess and bond it in with VHB.
