I have a customer who requires some sort of removable signage for his vehicle, a ford galaxy.

He does not want magnetic but would like something for the rear quarter window ( can be attached with some sort of clips )

I have seen something similar years ago on estate cars, some alarm firms used this idea and the old radio rentals escort estates had them.

    Anyone offer any help/ideas/info ?

    Thanks in advance

Temperatures in car can go really high in sunlight and buckle any signs fitted inside windows.

I would give consideration to dibond.

use static cling vinyl like the type used on tax disc holders
you can get it from gerber edge material suppliers

Sorry guys, didn’t explain it properly, the galaxy has privacy glass so an internal sign would be of no use, it would have to be exterior.

    Thanks for all the replies

    quote Prestige-Auto-Tints:

    the galaxy has privacy glass

Is that what we call “drug dealer windows” around here? 😀

    Hi Bob

    Remember me

I think I poped in to see you while I was out on a bike ride last year 😀

What about a magnetic roof sign like they use for driving schools and pizza delivery etc

    just a thought

    Hi
Would sticky back velcro work for this?

this maybe what you are after mate… i looked at these a while back amongst some other more discreet forms of advertising on vehicles.
in the end i never went for them, but some good ideas! food for thought if nothing else?

    Hi bob,
Had the same sort of question put to me the other day by a customer. I persuaded him to go for magnetic in the end. But it left me curious?

As you said, my customer had tinted(as standard) rear windows in his 4×4, but wanted removable signage to fit the window……

I quick thought was to use banner material, printed then hemmed to shape of the window, and fixed with velcro so, being removable.

Not too sure if it would hold under the wind while driving. Dont really fancy being sued by some compensation crazy person if it did come off.Or would this be okay.

Has anyone tried this, and with what sort of results… mmm?

hexis do a adhesive banner material

ferrari stamoid sign it solvent 4696

have sample of it, it prints to great and sticks like doo doo to a blanket

it is made to be removable and re-apply, they have a sample on their window as you enter, everytime i go i take it off and reapply it still sticky..

also when glue gets dirty remove wash with water and reapply

    hope this helps

    dave…
