Posted by M Brown on August 21, 2006 at 1:14 pm

    Hi All,

Can anyone help in letting me know where I can buy Reflexite reflective material for emergency vehicles?

Have a job to match up and I think its this material, but dont know where to get it from… also how much is it a meter?

I’ve attached a photo of the profile of the material

    Kind regards from
    Mark

That is Reflexite vc312. It’s about 60 squids a metre and they usually make you buy 50 metres at a time. Perhaps you could try someone like PVL ( http://www.pvluk.com ) and see if they will sell you a shorter amount.

Incidently, you can’t cut it with a normal plotter. At least, not easily.

Apparently this material is lazer cut to seal the edges, nightmare on a plotter as the top clear edges tend to peel away if caught.

thanks for all your help.. got it from Hexis in the end… the colours match perfrectly aswell…

Reflexite doesnt need edge sealing… so its easier to work with.

Not using a plotter to cut it.. good old scissors and a knife for this job.

Thanks again for your comments.. probably saved me a lot of money buying in the wrong stuff.. cuz you all know its bloody expensive stuff

Just go careful when you fit it. It really is like superglue! My mate at PVL tells me that it can be applied wet, apparently.
