Just quoting on a fleet of 10 vehicles (split over 2 models) and they’ve asked if they can have reflective chevrons on the rear.

I’ve spoken to William Smiths, but they don’t have a template for the chevrons for the vehicles I need.

I know it’s been said a fair few times, but I can’t for the life of me remember what the reason is we can’t really produce these in house? Is it because of the media type?

Also any suggestions on alternative suppliers for the chevron kits?

    Many thanks
    Davie

it’s generally because the red reflective needs edge sealing, you can cut it with a knife and use an edge sealing pen.

the yellow is pretty thick too but will cut ok on a heavy pressue, I tend to use a cast oracle hi-vis, seems to have a pretty good life span aswell.

You can make them yourselves but it’s quite a lot of work getting them perfect which is why we just buy in the kits now. There are quite a few suppliers and different options for materials..
