Posted by Jean Oakley on April 28, 2017 at 9:33 am

Morning all, i have been asked to repair a vehicle for A-Plant. The reflective red has a hexagon pattern in it. It also at certain angles has a small square almost gingham partern it it. Ive tried to photograph but this is the best i can do. Can anyone point me in the direction of the manufactuer f this i will need it in 150mm width. Thanks for reading jean

Hi yes i havew some Avery samples to hand, the squares are different on the samples i have larger and more in a staggered chevrony sort of layout. The Sample of red i have pictured has an almost checker board square patern and is smaller.

Does this look right, remember seeing it on a popular auction site, sold as HGV trailer marker but should be able to contact them and get it in 150mm instead of the normal 50mm they sell it in.

Thats the only one i’ve seen that matches your picture and description, hope it helps.

I had a look on the auction site for this Hexagon Reflective / Conspicuous tape and there is lots of it.
However, It doesn’t appear to be a foil type conspicuous film like Avery’s and nor a Cell type film like 3M diamond grade.
But it does appear to look like a cell type reflective film. So i was looking at the spec on the film in various posts on the site and there really is none! Just pictures of reflective on vehicles which could be anything.
The interesting part in these posts is the location it is coming from and that is China!

If you have read other posts i have made many times on UKSB you will see i mention the fact that most vinyl sold on ebay is past shelf life vinyl, chinese brands or fake brands such as 3M, Avery etc. again manufactured in China. From what i can see, this is another budget Chinese brand made to dupe those thinking they are buying premium conspicuous reflective products.

Above is just based on what i have found on ebay, it does not mean this is exactly the same as Jeans picture. But i think it is always worth while pointing this out with regards to ebay and most of the vinyl sold there.

I always buy my reflective from a UK based company, Its just i have to match whats already there this time and that is the product im searching (and hopefully have now found) Thanks all

ok so ebay is selling it 50mm rolls but its coming from Bulgaria. I have managed to find the company that did the original job and have contacted them to get a quote for supplying the job as a kit for me to fit. Sometimes its just not worth the agro of doing it yourself. Thanks all who had a go at identifying this product :claps: :claps:

Just checked with some stock I have here and I can confirm its Avery HV1150 reflective.
I get it from GPMI or Walsh Graphics in Ireland.
1220mm wide sold by the meter.
