It’s on yahoos homepage – to do with Clarksons show I think.

They’ve stickered it up to promote the met at the show.

Not gonna be patrolling the M4 though!

    Cheers

When did lambo change to conventional doors then?
I always thought they had up and over?

or "gullwing" perhaps the italian Bill ordered a special version?

    Definately real 🙂

I have quite a large involvement within the Italian Car Community. The lambo is pictured at the Ace Cafe in London where they have an Italian Car event on the 1st or 2nd Thursday of every month.

Unfortunately the Italian car club I run is not quite as exotic as the fezza’s and lambo’s. I run a car club for the humble Fiat Bravo. We also have quite close links to Auto Italia magazine and can be spotted at a few of their events.

Which brings me on to another subject. There is a car club expo on at the Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon on the 25th November. Companies that can supply to the car club community have been invited to show their products and what they can offer to the car clubs. I’m sure some of you people here could offer quite a lot. (flags, t-shirts, member cards, vinmyl graphics, flyers etc etc). If anyone is interested I can get some more details for you.

They didn’t ever have gullwing doors. They had scissor doors that hinged on the front edge of the door (gullwing are centre hinged on the roof) and opened up the way. Like the Countach. But they latest (Audi version) the Gallardo had standard doors.

OK marcella. we know you are pedantic. its only mercs that had true gullwings, I was lucky enough to sit in the one that moss won the miglia millia in,( well not sure if he won it in a gulwing but drove one in the revival) when it was revived in the 80’s

DeLorean did make it into production, Renault engine and gearbox. Our government gave him millions to do so!!! So he set up shop in Ireland and then got jailed for drug dealing 😕
ironically, Stirling Moss has one of the new gullwing Bristols.

…….. I need to get out more ……… I’m sounding more like an anorak here.

Over in the States, when they confiscate cars from drug runners etc. they then use them for the local forces. Have seen porche, ferrarri etc in a book that a customer brought in when we had to make his car into an american police car. Now he was an anorak!!!
