I have done a search and read Robs post on this,

but I remember few years back I rang a company that would make the diamond grade ambulance chevron kits up for you. I think you just told them the vehicle and they had the templates and produced the kits.

Need to get some prices..so any help would be good

wm smiths offer this martin but "i think" you are limited to the kits they have on file. so some vehicles may not be available, but probably best give them a call to check on that. I used Wm Smiths for the diamond grade demo you mention but i did provide them with the artwork for that one so it matched around 200 odd vehicles we had done already.
i called a few companies but smiths was nearly half the price of the nearest competitor.

the company you might be thinking about in the past was Fineline Converting / Autac ? i used them in the past also but they have since went bust…

it was pvluk i had a quote from Derek that was nearly double smiths.

i cant fault anyone trying to get as much as they can for their product, but some you win some you loose…

John, the page doesn’t seem to do much, it opens fine but, other than being able to click on an england flag, i can’t see items for sale!

Rob, yes, pvl are expensive but i’ve not tried smiths for a price.

Update, just been on phone to w m smith and seem very helpfull and awaiting prices.

Thanks for link John, but that is one very poor website 🙁 surprised if they get any business from that.

    Cheers

Aren’t there new laws on reflective markings that are about to come into effect?

    Hugh,

Select something from the drop down menu at the bottom.

I agree, it’s not the best site in the world, but we bought a kit from them and the price was very reasonable indeed, and the service was excellent. We will use them again

Have used PVL a couple of times and like everyone says they are expensive. What annoyed me is that they wanted to charge a set up of £75 for a new template which they then sell to other customers! We now use William Smiths

I’m just about to use PVL now and so far I’ve found them great, good pricing and decent lead times with a good knowledge of the product. I think if you can do the work in Illustrator for them the pricing is better, good practice too 🙂

a little more than that Ian, just got a quote back for a vitara, they don’t have the template so it would add about £200 to make one up, I’d already done the job when they got back to me (short notice) but, £200 is half the price of the job, the customer isn’t cheap but i know they’d not go that far on top of things,

i’ll use them when the need arises though, just can’t afford to put custom stuff their way knowing how much it’ll cost on top.

    cheers,
    Hugh
