RE640 issue – help please error code/’processing’ message?

We have a Roland RE640 printer, with the following issue:
If we doing a continous printing, i mean i want to print duplicatred images with one start, the printer, start with the first one, print it (lately it stops during the first one as well), and when the second one is starting, the printer stops, and the display says motor error with the 0040 error code, or scan motor error with the code a 0090, 0080, regardless, if its a light or heavy roll on it.
After this we cleaned the machine, the firts job done well, but the second one still not start at all. The motor tugs the sheet, a bit and it stops again, ant it says "processing". We turn off the power, and make a restart, and after if we are lucky the first print goes fine, the after this the same problem again!
Do anybody have the the same or similar problem? Any ideas what shuold we do with it? The service guy was here several times, and still dont know what the problem is!
Its very annoying and very expensive depending on that we are about to print a large sum of 3M 3D vehicle graphics vinyl.
