Juist converted from megaink to a re-branded Vinyl logistics ink. They say it is less aggressive than the megaink but equally resistant. Based on one change to my Roland SC545-EX what other inks are readily available that will be suitable for vehicle wraps, banner displays etc

Just my 2p worth, I still find it hard to beleive a lot of claims Ink companies make. All they really interested in is getting you to buy their ink. I worry about the damage to heads/dampers/pumps to justify buying 3rd party ink and also the UV stablilty!

Hi Keith, We were advised by Roland that the conversion would enable us to produce high quality digital prints for any vehicle singage ranging from short term to 4 yr. To be fair they advised us of scratching and colour fade but when we weighed this up versus buying a laminator we decided that was the best option for us!

Hi Dave, would you recommend we consider the Roland inks cause we have had problems with drying of ink wells, cartridges – nothing major as we know that low output or sporadic output can effect things.

Sorry, I clafiry. I am a Mimaki User, not a Roland user so I don’t know your machine . However the first line in the JV3 maintenance contract is “Don’t use 3rd party inks or void”, the American Mimaki market is dominated with 3rd party ink but the Mimaki jV3 is a little different.
