Rant – Coporates Just Rude!
Had a local corporate email for a quote, email went to 2 other local sign co’s for a price as well as me.
I rang to speak to the person dealing with it to confirm details and sent a quote as requested very promptly. They did say they had a current supplier but all spends were now going out for pricing.
Let it go a week and followed up with an email, which was read and no reply, about 10 days after that mail I mailed again. Again read no reply.
Decided to call today, person was in a meeting guy said he would ask her to mail or call…….nothing.
I don’t care if it’s stayed with the current supplier or been won by one of the other 2 Co’s. Purely for reference wanted to know if it had been awarded and was my quotation in the ball park. Not much to ask I think.
Just think it’s plain rude not to at least reply and say ‘ On this occasion you have been unsuccessful’ ……..grrrr…. (:)
Rant over……..breath and relaaaaaaaaax….lol

That sort of thing isn’t confined to corporates Tim.
That’s the system, even down to the lad that wants a sticker for his Corsa.
Always been that way, and always will I reckon.

Be glad they never replied.
If they are that bad at communication, imagine how bad they would be at releasing funds for payment.I have to drive an hour and a half this morning for an estimate.

They already have a sketch from their local sign guy, who isn’t in a huge hurry to make their sign.
I told them I charge to go there, and also charge for sketches.
This should be fun.

Worse still are the enquiries that ask you to call around to visit to get a quotation. Then when you turn up at the allotted time they’re not there!!

I was asked to visit the manager of a local cinema a while back and arranged a time to meet him to discuss signs. When I Got there I Met someone I know from another sign firm and he said he had been waiting an hour to see the same man for the same reason, so I said "more fool you" and I was off.

I expect it from Corsa boy……but thought corporates were better……job was an out of hours job with messing about and a site visit needed first. Price was keen so not worth the hassle if someone has gone in lower.
