im after some random shapes similar to these below.

I tried to make these myself in corel8 but i am useless
if anyone has some files like this, or could spare me a few minutes to tell me how i make them, id be forever in your debt.

i did these by making a box, converting to curves, and them moving the nodes etc, but as you see, they are dreadful

OK don’t take this the wrong way but they look like bad copies of existing graphics, not sure that this sort of design is where your talents lay. Others may thing differently because it is really only opinion. If I were you I would invest in a vehicle graphics CD or two. You can always manipulate the designs on the CD to suit the vehicle you are putting them on but at least it gives you a starting point.

The other thing I would say is that you are wasting your time trying to do designs like this if they are for your drift car without actually having an outline or picture of the car to work with. What suits one car can look completely naff on another so you are best off designing just for that car.

do me a favour mate, put a name under your post, or better still, put your real name on your profile.
Nowt personal, but it all helps…

Martin has summed it up quite well, so little to add.
but the best designs are created, not copied. artwork on disc is fine and I use it often. but to create originals, takes practice time and imagination. no one here can tell you how its done in a few words.

If you want to change your username, you need to email the details to Rob admin@uksignboards.com (I think!).

Anyway, the first thing I notice about your drawing is that it is just a load of straight lines, no curves. Hence you have far too many nodes. All of those lines could be created with only a couple of nodes which would give a perfectly smooth curve. A corel tutorial now would take some serious time, so you might want to have a look at some of the online tutorials. Do a search for Coreldraw tutorials as there are a lot online, and the drawing tools haven’t changed that much since ver 8.
