    Hi All,

I was shopping about for prices on lasers before going to the upcoming sign and digital and can’t seem to find radecal anywhere, have they changed name or just no longer trading? if they have changed name, could someone point me in the direction of their new company.

    Thanks in advance

If they are truly gone, then good riddance, the first hand stories I have heard are nothing short of criminal. The website seems to be offline as well.

Look at HPC Lasers, I have 6 of theirs, and they are truly well built machines. They do demo days etc. where you can get a good feel for the possibilities of the machines.

Thanks for the referral Phil, I hadn’t even thought of HPC.

Sad to see any business go under but if what you say is correct then that usually explains why they have went under.

    David,

Not sure if you knew but Chris the owner of Radecal died last year suddenly after collapsing at his home.

You can read the article below

I knew Chris for about 15 years from my early days in signage, he was a great guy and a bad arse Entrepreneur, like with any company that has such massive growth there are always teething problems.

I found Chris to be a stand-up Gentleman who was always happy to help anyone.

‘Life is never going to be the same’: Heartbroken wife pays tribute to ‘the Gent’ after shock death

He was the successful entrepreneur known to his friends as “the Gent”.

But now heartbroken loved ones are fundraising in the memory of popular Chris Economides after his shock death aged just 44.

The Washington dad-of-three collapsed at home on June 17 and died hours later in hospital.

Less than a fortnight on, devastated wife Anita has paid an emotional tribute to her husband and admits his sudden passing still does not feel real.

She said: “Everybody called Chris ‘the Gent’. He has so many friends which is why it’s such a shock to everyone.

“He treated me like a princess and adored our children. Chris was just incredible. Go big or go home – that was his saying.

“I’m in denial. The only way I can get through the day is by saying it’s not real and I’m going to wake up.

“I can’t even open a card, there’s hundreds but I can’t do it. I think the moment I open one, it’s going to start getting real.

“We literally did everything together. Life is never going to be the same.”

Born in Newcastle and raised in Albany, Washington, Chris was the proud father of three sons – Cameron, 21, Dion, 15, and Theo, 11.

Together with wife Anita, the couple ran numerous successful businesses including their latest venture Radecal Machinery which trades in CNC machinery.

Devoted dad Chris prioritised spending time with his sons – going to the gym with Dion everyday, enjoying regular go-karting sessions and family walks every night.

Anita added: “Everyone Chris came into contact with, he just inspired. You would have a conversation with him and you would come away feeling enriched.

“The boys are beyond heartbroken, he was their life. Every night there were stories, playing cards and games before bed.

“One of our best friends has said everything he has done was to the max – as if he knew his life was going to be short.”

Fitness fanatic Chris travelled the world with Anita and his sons, and even built a bar at the house to host social gatherings.

Outside of work and family, one of Chris’ main passions in life was his love of music.

Anita described her husband’s taste as “eclectic”, saying he loved U2 and Bon Jovi but enjoyed everything from Avicii to Pavarotti.

She added: “I could heard the music before Chris came into the street from his car. Chris could hear the music, he should have been in the music industry.

“Every time we came back, the karaoke machine in the bar he built would be blasting songs out. If he has taught me anything, I can feel the music now.”

Loved ones gathered to bid their final goodbyes to Chris in an emotional service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Penshaw on Friday.

Now, the grieving family’s attention turns to fundraising in the beloved 44-year-old’s memory on behalf of the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Paramedics battled in vain to save Chris, and Anita says raising money for the service – which relies entirely upon donations – would be the perfect tribute to her husband.

She finished: “Chris always said as soon as he retired he wanted to set up a foundation. He wanted to leave something behind for others who were less fortunate.

“We want to help build awareness for the service, every penny counts and one day people might need the service like Chris did.
