    Hello,
Would someone explain any pitfalls and offer suggestions for successful pressing of the quilted Hi-Viz Bomber style jackets?……….. I will be using Poli-Flex.

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi Jeremy.
I´ve never done quilted HiVis jackets, but have done loads of body-warmers which I presume are similar.
Because of the quilting, registration is a problem if you have more than 1 colour.
Always apply to an area on the jacket that is smooth, with no seams.
Also when pressing, avoid applying the vinyl to areas which would crease badly. Probably best to smooth out the jacket first and press before application.

    Hope this helps. Chris

dont know if right or not, but i put a press pillow under the area to be pressed,
that made that area stand proud and just a little over med pressure.
all was fine done about 6 todate.
    target premium.

    I dye sub mine,
but a word of warning even though youre using flex.
Dont press for too long, depending on the pressure and heat, it can make the black inside lining and stitching show through.
The first one we did had the quilted pattern show through the back, but as I say, it was a dye sub so 30 degrees or so more, and was 50 seconds in the press.
so you should be fine, we do them for 35 seconds now and its all ok at 190.
