  • Quick POLL : Which Digital Printer do you have?

Posted by UKSB POLL on September 21, 2019 at 9:25 pm

Most sign companies have their own wide format printer.
This poll is to ask, "which wide format printer do you have?"

Simply Click One of the options by:
"Scrolling-Up" above this post, click your selection, then click submit.

If you have more than one printer, a maximum of two choices can be selected.
You do not have to make any comment to your selection, just click your selection and then click submit.
If your Printer is not selected, click OTHER. If other is selected, please reply stating the name of your printer and we will add it to the POLL.

However, a reason for your choice of printer would be great as it helps others know why certain printers are chosen or popular.

This Poll will be permanently positioned at the top of the "General Printing Topics" forum.

    Mimaki UVJC 300/160
It is ideal for printing onto optically clear films.

There is an update for the app that needs to be applied but won’t be for at least 2 weeks while we complete the current background work on UKSB as well as some new structure work. I am hoping the Apps update will resolve this glitch Gil, as I had no clue there was one till you replied! Thank you for the heads up!

    How are they?
    1. Quality?
    2. Speed?
    3. How does the ink hold up to scratches etc?

    They are great.
Had the first one for over 7 years now. The second one has several good upgrades on it.
They are simple, well-built machines. I have only had to replace dampers/cap stations and 2 heads in all that time.
No problems with ink even though I use cheap Chinese.
Speed is fine for me but I don’t run them flat out.

We did use a Uniform Grenadier roll to roll printer, but a couple of years ago purchased an 8’x4′ Jetrix Printer with roll printing capabilities. Had a few teething problems to start with, but has proved itself to be a great addition to our equipment and is used daily.

The Jetrix is great as we have the ability to print direct to glass, stainless steel, brass etc along with all the usual substrates.
