iain,
you might be disapointed with the print, if it’s any sort of size.
The jpg is very low res.

The finished print will be approx 48cm x 53 cm and be suspended approx 20 ft in the air..
will see what the proof looks like before going to final print
Why couldn’t the pub be called “The Cross Keys”????

I’ll be more than happy to test out the beer if needed. I’m sure I can spare some time. 😀
Can you post a picture of the finished sign Iain? Pub signs are always cool.

Does it have to be a “perfect” picture of Queen Victoria? Could you use some filters in Photoshop to make it look more like a painting? I tried looking for some pictures of her on some photo sites but I’ve had no luck. I’ll keep looking though.

Cheers Marek
I thought this would be a nice easy job.
1. Order sign blank
2. Get someone to print vinyl
3. Apply vinyl to sign blank
4. Take cheque to bank. How wrong could i be??

Iain,
There are a couple of software progs about than enhance low res pics.
I have seen them mentioned recently on the boards. I did try one but cant remember its name now, Perhaps some one else will,

Try a programme called ‘xspline’ or ‘s spline’that inserts pixels to a mathamatical formula and can increase reolution.

curiosity got the better of me, its now called photo zoom.
try this link
http://www.trulyphotomagic.com/shortcut … info&cat=3do google for ‘photozoom’ and use the trial version.

Well just to update,
I checked out 2 programs, Photo zoom and Irfanview. Unfortunatley photzoom saves work with a watermark untill you buy the prog but it seems to be very good. Irfanview is a freebie and is mainly a image viewer but it does have the facility to resample images to a higher resolution, which is exactly what i wanted.
Have sent of the image to Victory design and hopefully They will be able to
get me sorted.Watch this space
Cheers
