This believe it or not is a replacement panel for a lightbox 😮 It is actually 4 foamex panels that are to big to slide in so they are nailed(yes nailed) to the front of the existing lightbox with black headed cladding tacks. The window graphics are etched! well actually they should of been etched but told the lady that they will use gold vinyl as they had ran out of etched! 😮

needless to say the foamex is now hanging off :shake:

    Near Gatwick.

The cheapo sign shop was in Surbiton.

I doubt they came up to this neck of the woods to do work

unless of course they are a national company :lol1:

Resent the comment about working from a home. It’s down to the workman, not his tools. Many on here ask such basic engineering questions I wonder how they ever fit some signs.

Personally I wouldn’t dream of bodging something. I take pride in my work first and on the basis that a poorly fit sign is a bad advert second.

Seen a few finished re-brands done around here by crews from large co’s from miles away, most aren’t 100% as it’s not local business and they couldn’t give a monkeys.

    Tim,

I may be wrong but have a feeling that John was referring to another thread about the mistaken folk who believe that you can only be professional if you have a unit or shop. I think he was being ironic on this thread(?), I’m sure he wasn’t having a go.

i.e. the shoddy sign (signs and banners) on this thread looks like it is advertising a sign shop on the high street. It proves the point that even if you have a ‘unit’ you can be unprofessionababal…

Although apologies all round if I HAVE got it wrong.

    Tim,

I’m sorry mate. It was only after reading Gareth’s post that I realised that you were referring to my comment on working from home or unit.

I was trying, and failing as it turns out, to make a funny. If you read the thread that Gareth refers to, you will see, I hope, that I have no problem with people who work from home. In fact, I wish I could turn out as good a sign from my unit as the likes of Hugh and Andy do from their sheds.

There was no intention to offend.
