Purple Matt Vinyl’s
Posted by Michael Winfield on August 1, 2011 at 12:23 pmGood Afternoon Folks!
Can someone point me in the right direction for a close match to the colors attached?
I can only find the darker purple.

Might be better to give a pantone reference as all monitors will show this as different to your original :lol1: if yours and theres aren’t callibrated.

Sorry should of said to start with, its just for fitting to composite for a sign and maybe some glass.
Pantone’s:
674, 512.(that’s if i done it right, i was not sure which pallet to select, there is more then i know what to do with in Corel)

Michael – I hope you got those pantones from the client or from a pantone refernce book, if you took the values from corel based on what you saw on screen you will leave yourself open to huge mistakes.

There really arent many vinyl ranges that have a lot of matt colours so might be tricky to do without printing/matt laminating,

I chose the color’s while designing the logo and i don’t have a reference book.
The CMYK values are as followed
Light Purple: 31.78.0.0
Dark Purple: 44.100.4.20I don’t know if this will help, normally when picking i vinyl i just look at my metamark color swash.
I don’t have the option of printing and laminating because i don’t have a printer or a laminator. i might have to try and talk the customer into using gloss.

not sure about matt would def go gloss unless no exposure to UV anyhow oracal 751 summer plum and magenta are reasonably close – no cigar though 😀
