• pub sign question

    Help! 😮 Im about to put in a quote to redo a pub hanging sign. Re paint the pictorial and the frame. Question is how much can you ask these days? 😎

    If its Gold Leaf with toned block shadows on the letters I’d be looking at base cost of £500 and anywhere to £750

    I’m basing this on the extra effort you put into shading

    Just curious! The avatar looks great. Did you do all the work in your avatar on a flat table. If so your back must be killing you. I can only guess you are adding a few bits to the sign in that position. You surely work off pegs don’t you

    Hello!
    At the moment im very limited on space. So the signs are done flat!!! The sign you see me painting will have to go out through the window!!! 😥

    I’m a flat-painter as well….
    it can’t drip if it’s flat.
    Remember to charge accordingly
    as not many can do what you do.
    Glad to know someone still wants to do a pub sign
    in the traditional manner!

    Ive just got an order that means our guest bedroom will have to become the glossing room! :dance1: my mahlstick has luxurious velvet!!
