Seriously though, our children have left home and my wife and I have just spent our first christmas in twenty five years without having them around and, to be honest, it felt a bit empty and pointless because of that.

I have always done what I thought was right at the time but what with trying to run my own business, earning the money to pay for mortgage, living costs and everything else I now feel that I didn’t spend enough time with them whilst they were growing up.

My advice therefore is to enjoy every day and get the most out of it because it’s amazing how quickly the time goes.

One of my little s0ds informed me at the weekend that I am going to be a grandfather and it doesn’t seem like five minutes since I was reading him bedtime stories.

Thank you again for all your wishes, I have printed the posts off and will show carrie them later.

I think we will have a break on the children side for a bit as we have a daughter who’s almost two and now a son which is a nice package. Oh not to mention our nutty dog Hovis who thinks he’s a cat sometimes I’m sure. We did have two fish also called Fingers and Cakes (Fish Fingers, Fish Cakes) but have decided not to have any more pets for a while too as we have quite a handful already, well until my daughter twists me round her little finger. (which she does already!)

“Double” “Barrell” & “Shotgun” 🙄

just have the 2 kids , 2 black labs 5 fish and Pat the rat now

looking at a nother dog though as our male lab is getting old and pos wont last another 2 yrs
