depends on how big the image needs to be and how far away the projector has to be positioned. you can use projectors that are used for presentations etc, in conjuction with a pc, dvd player or vhs recorder.

yeh, prjection clocks are pretty common now, ide expect gadget type shops to seel these nowadays.
as peter says, clock size will vary depending on how far, how close it is to the surface it will appear on. -

One nice feature is that they put translucent white on the glass window, and project the image onto it in reverse and from the rear. The effect is excellent.
Hope that helps. They are using overhead roof projectors you buy from TV stores, and run them thru software on a PC. On a building it would be more powerful, but the same theory. I’d call a hire company that specialises in exhibition hire. They may be able to point you in the right direction

Thanks for the info. The projector is for a car sales showroom. The customer wants to project his company logo on to a white wall in the showroom and have a clock to tell the timewith the logo. He’s fully set on this, and nothing else will do.

we do this company logo projection quite often, I setup large dance parties when im not making signs and quite often they want there brand projecting around the place,, to do this we use a moving head gobo projector, we get the logos etc made into glass gobos by a local company, which then go into a light similar to this one..

im not sure how you would project a clock using this… for that sort of thing we usually use a lasershow or laser scanner for, you can fully program these of a pc to do any writing, pictures, animations etc you want, the more you pay the brighter the internal laser sort of deal.
we have a couple of units very similar to this…..http://www.lasershs.com/greenhornet_eco … jector.htm
both these units and pretty much all the similar stuff about are all programmable via DMX, you can store months worth of pre-defined programs and patterns, sound trigggers, you name it.
