Can anyone help for the past 10 years I have been using wissen programs
the last time I upgraded was 9 years ago to wissen castop plus but with all the change that is happening in the industry I now feel we are long over due an upgrade to a new software. but the question is which one?
Iam thinking of buying also a digital printer so I could also do with the software running along side the cutting side. The other problem I have is that I need the program on 4 computers so to go for dongle versions would make it a great expense is this the only option for a very good upto date program. Do I need all the computers to have xp?

Corel draw will work and its not dongled and its cheap and it will run digital printers
XP is preffered , especially XP pro , you might not find drivers that ARENT xp for new machines like a digital printer apart from XP pro being really stable etc.
If you do run a digital printer , you gonna have to get a power computer as the files are huge and slow computers can take HOURS to rip (send to the printer) large files. , trying to run a serious rip with a large file on anything less than P4 2 gig processor with at least a 100 gig hd and 1gig memery is a waste.
Ideally you want all your puters networked , the printer as a network printer , and to install the RIP and the design package on all.
If you get Corel and lets say a Roland Versacam digital printer and use the RIP that comes with it , you can print , print and cut , cut and print-laminate-cut on all your 4 machines without having to buy 4 instances of each program etc.
You could have one power machine ripping and just use the other 3 for design if you wish
Corel isnt ideal for vinyl cutting , but unless you want dongled 1000+ quid packages , its a pretty good option, there are add ons like Co cut etc that do make Corel (go for ver 12) more functional.
