Program to make neon drawings
Hi there all! 🙂
My owner is doing some neon tubes and we got one room filled up with drawings of the tubes that we bend the glass using the outlines on the drawings. I suggested a program to we can stop using drawing becouse they take big space and and the paper is gets old 🙂
Is there any software to draw the neon tubes and use my plotter to draw the outlines with pen? I know there is one program called Neon wizard. But they charge $1995 for that program!!! that is way too much. Does anyone know of any other programs we can use? Please tell me about them and please give me some url soe i can check it out.

we use neon wizard, paid £795, can highly recommend it, saves hours of time drawing patterns by hand, plus you don’t need to keep the paper patterns.

I do all my neon in corel..found it to be easy once i got used to the letters being smaller on screen..if you get my meaning?
I found it works well,but have never used any other sign-neon package so unable to compare

Where neon wizard comes into its own, over others types of drawing software, is that once a drawing has been completed you can resize the drawing and still maintain correct tube width or you can change the tube size instantly from 12 to 15mm for example.

Does it do all the neon work at a touch of a button, or is it more complex.
Are the lengths of neon and calibration worked out on it automatically? -

i knoly know of neon wizard.. same crowd as sign wizard yeh? 😕
anyway.. we found a complete plant, bombard unit etc and even sorted the space for it. software was neon wizard but we didnt follow it all through.. reason! we couldnt find a “good” neon bender!!!
i even looked at going to a school but couldnt find one.. oh well…sorry im rambling again.. good luck with the software. 😉

Oh what luxury you seek……I spent years drawing up glass for various benders with a pencil, flexicurve and circle template.
we just use Illustrator now…i will do a demo on how to do it…… -
