Morning, hope there is someone not at sign uk that can help!

Got a job on today that is getting printed on grafityp canvas. I can’t see a profile for this on their web site. Does anyone have any recommendations of what to use – I will be printing from either versaworks or print and cut on the versacamm.

    Gavin
just tried some canvas that Europoint sent me there is a generic profile within Versaworks which worked very well for me. I run a Soljet so can’t be 100% you’ll have it in your version but have a look

I have only experimented with canvas with disappointing results (colours were weak – using a generic canvas profile). But I have since learned that if you increase the number of passes when printing you can make the colour more vibrant. Peter (Normington) is the man to speak to but he’s probably got a hangover right now 😕

We use Grafitype canvas and just print with vinyl profiles.
Only thing to be careful of is when fitting to the frame use a little heat on the corners as it cracks.

we use the garment heat transfer profile and print on high quality. That seems to work pretty well for the metamark canvas but couldnt say for any other company’s.

Try clipping and tiling first aswell, can usually tell whether the colour is good enough.

    Cheers

    Thanks for all the replies.

I ended up printing from signlab – and found a canvas profile in the ‘roland’ section of profiles, printed this on 720×720 and checked and it uses 6 head passes and 1 ink pass. I have to say I’m blown away with
the results. It’s not exactly quick, but I only have around 3 sq/m to print so it’s not a problem.

Been meaning to try canvas for ages, really glad I have!
