Can anyone shed a light on a problem for me? when the printer is printing multiple copies the colours start to fade. This isn’t happening on the black though. I don’t know much about laser printers so any advice is appreciated.

    Hi Karl,
If its second hand and done a few prints it could be the Photo Conductor Unit or you might be low on toner.

    Cheers John

    Thanks John,
Black is at 100% Magenta and Cyan at 33% and the yellow’s at 13%.
What’s the photo conductor unit mate?

I’ve used printerland a few times for new MFPs – always excellent service…and if sensible – they sometimes pricematch.

Have a look for InkRite, Misco do them. Even if the printer is IN warranty they will replace the machine if their toner b@llocks the printer up. Just bought a full set for my Samsung and they were half the price of the proprietary toners. :lol1:

The prices on your site Chris look more down to earth. Cheers mate.
Graeme, I’ll get in touch with your contact tomorrow and see what they charge. Thanks for your help chaps. 😉 Had no idea toners were so expensive. Shame you can’t refill them. 😕

You’d need the chip as well though Graeme. 👿

The refill kits come with them if required, also a well known online auction site sell them…. :lol1:

for mine i buy a bottle of toner and a chip so far so good but there is a risk, there has been some horror stories.

i have noticed you have to tell the machine its heavier paper than it is to get the toner to fuse properly. but may have something to do with the air temp as well.

Karl, I refilled the carts for my oki printer with toner I had bought from that well known auction site, went OK but the colours didn’t seem anywhere near as good so I will be going back to oki toner when they next need to be done.
It’s not used for customers work other than showing visuals but if it were I wouldn’t be happy with the colour at all.
