Hi, wondering if anyone can help,
Have got versacamm sp-300i & for the last 2-3 months, after printing & before cutting the vinyl pulls back through the printer and instead of going behind the media roll it drops in front of it & if unnoticed can cause the printed surfaces to come into contact & ruin the job, only seems to happen with new rolls (always Metamark mdp200) & for the first 15-20 metres. If i unroll
the media before printing it will be ok. If anyone has had a similar issue any advice would be appreciated I did think maybe something is worn on the printer which i have had from new and is 3 years old & with no error messages or other problems.
I have noticed a lot of static lately & when unrolling the media by hand you can hear it and the vinyl clinging to itself, am wondering if this could be all it is and is there a easy fix ?
    Thanks Paul

If I understand what you have said is the media falls between the printer and media roll then touch print to print.
Never used that material but does sound like a static issue some times a wipe down the printer with a damp cloth may help.
Also may be just a issue with that material and have to baby sit it…

Baby sit is the only way at the moment, have always used Metamark without any issues,
seems a lot of hassle now though & just trying to eliminate either the printer or the media as the cause, Will try a different make & see how it goes.
