Pretty sure we’ll be going also, not sure what day though. I’d prefer Sunday but I bet it will be busy that day.

It might be a good idea to post which day each of us can make it and have us a bit of a meet.

We have got to drive up from cornwall and back on the day so it’ll be a bit of a trek what with gettint through customs at the border an all.

Hi Liam, Long time no see

Sunday morning 8:30 depart, £20:00 in the petrol tank and a two and half hour drive to NEC 🙁 , Arrive at 11:00, £6:00 parking 👿 . Walk the perimeter of the show and stop for lunch 11:45, £7:50 for two sarnies and two coffees.Leave show at 12:40 😮 , another £20:00 in the tank and another two and half hour drive home.
I ask myself was it worth it?

No, it was not. Total waste of time. the only good thing is that we met Paul & Jules – that was me that was flashing on the M5, Paul – saw your car as it flashed past me.

Will have to think very hard about next year. May even send a letter to P&P just to let them know how we feel. Thank god we did not close for a day.

    Regards

    yep, getting worse every year.

quite a few large suppliers didn`t even turn up.

    loads of small stalls empty.

only 1 screen printing equipment supplier.

don`t think i`ll bother next year.

Blimey 😮 Sounds like it was a bit of a flop, hope SignUK isn’t as much of a disappointment 😕

Hi i went im new to this business, but i was also dissapointed at the lack of screen print suppliers!! But in general i thought it was good mainly embroidery and heat press/transfers. The women in the fashion show were well wrth goin for tho!!!

    Hi all

This was the first time I have attended this sort of show and I have to admit to being a little disappointed.

I was nice to meet up with Lee Harris and family, we did see you on the motorway, we were in a hurry to get back to Cornwall, long way for a couple of pamphlets and a cuppa but hay.

The highlight of the visit was meeting up with people from the uksignbords so I think signuk will be a success whatever the rest of the show was like.

    Cheers

I’m a vinyl cutout t-shirt printer and went to the pervious 2 years shows. This year I was hoping to get some info on the best way of moving into the screen printing area (on a budget) but there was only 1 screen printing stand there!?!?!?!? 🙁

Apparantly Sunday was very busy – I went on Monday and it was pretty quiet – which was good as it meant you could chat to people.

The show seemed to have less stands this year – but I did get a few more contacts for the kids garments which was one of my things to do. 🙂

I have to agree with many of the previous comments. I went to the show on the Sundaywith two objectives. One to upgrade our embroidery capacity with the purchase of a new multihead machine. Had my mind set on a particualr machine and after an good demo put a package together.
My second objective was to bring screenprinting inhouse with a possible purchase and was left a little dejected with the lack of exhibitors in the field.

Maybe they stay away because of the Screenprint show which I think is April, but considering how large screenprinting is in the promotional clothing industry you would have expected better.

1 out of 2 objectives met though.
