Printing graduated fills..problem
Hi all, I like to use a lot of graduated fills in my artwork on letter styles they look great but I always seem to get banding problems.
Iam using corel 11 to produce the artwork and print onto my verssa cam.
The procedure i use is as follows ,say for a letter “A” 12″ high.
Scale the letter up to 12″ high add a outline etc and fill with a graduated colour , say black to white. when happy i export as an eps ( the letter also has an cutpath for cutting latter so i asume that an eps is the only format i can use)
The problem is the graduated tint then becomes a series of “solid” looking bands , they are not to obvious but they are noticeable, is there a way round this.
Am I right in thinking that it is the eps format which does this?
Ive tried producing the fill in photoshop importing into correl and exporting out as an eps with cutpath included with the same result.Changing the Fountain steps to a high number dosent help either.
Any Ideas??
Thanks
