Printer, laminator and cutter for sale
Hello all,
Due to upgrading our equipment, we have the following for sale:
The following kit was purchased brand new from Spandex as a bundle 4 years ago for circa £17K
[b]Mutoh Valuejet 1324 eco solvent printer 54"[/b]
Great machine in great condition, perfect working order – used on an almost daily basis but not thrashed. Serviced every year we’ve had it. The only issue we had with it was when we hooked up a bulk ink system to it 2 years ago. It didn’t like it! Cost us two print heads but absolutely no issues ever since (we returned to OEM inks) and prints really well. The machine will be serviced before we sell it.[b]Easymount cold laminator[/b]
Again, in excellent condition. Never had any issues with it.[b]Summa D140d[/b]
In excellent condition. Never missed a beat. In daily use will come with spare (brand new) blades and plotter pens.[b]Onyx RIP[/b]
with dongle etc.We may have some spare ink carts (440ml) with the printer – depends on how long it takes to sell as we will keep on using it. Will also come with some part used rolls of media as our upgrade will be to a Latex machine and some of the media will not be any use with the latex printer.
The whole kit has been very well looked after and operated in a warm, dry room. Can be seen working and I’d be prepared to spend half a day or so on training (it is an easy machine to work with). Buyer must collect at their own expense from Stevenage, Herts.
Price: £7,500 +vat onoI’d prefer to sell as complete lot but will split

It’s actually pretty much what I’m looking for, the cutter is just a bigger version of what I have, as is the laminator, the the mutoh is the only printer I have first hand experience of!!

Here are some photos of the machines – still in daily use (until our new equipment turns up).
Printer has take up unit – plotter has media ‘basket’ – laminator does not come with ‘axle stands’ lol 😛

Hi Darren,
Just wanted to thank you for your time and patience, following my visit to the sign show yesterday I’ll be going with an HP latex set-up. It’s partly a space issue – too little space to be hanging up / leaving prints around to gas out, having to get behind the machine to load etc. just more practical for me to go latex!Someone will defo get a good deal on this!!

Our new equipment has arrived and is up and running. Therefore I am now actively pursuing the sale of the kit listed above. Will now split:
Summa D140: £1850.00 inc vat
Mutoh Valuejet 1304 with Onyx 10 rip, ink carts and some media: £3450.00 inc vat – if it’s bought without being serviced then £3150.00 inc vat
Easymount 1400 cold laminator: £3000.00 inc vat

The laminator needs to be set up properly so I would always advice having vivid into do this…we had a number of issues to begin with which were very frustrating…
We called vivid in and they set both our machine up properly and gave our team some tips and hints and the machines have been sound ever since and working great
Invest the time in listening to what they say and spending time experimenting and working out which methods works best for you

As has been said recently " Its a bit secret squirrel!" maybe you need to be invited into the "square dealers" before you can send or receive messages.

I am just catching up on this thread and noticed some having issues and it has me stumped.
Each of you are UKSG members and each of you have full contact privileges. I have just checked your accounts and yes i was aware Steff had an issue but thought it had been resolved by Chris / Moderator.
But obviously something isn’t working as it should for you three. All I can think it is, is something with recent work thats been done on the boards because all long term members have PM access as i get regular messages, even tonight. Cheryl and others sending no bother. anyway, the site is undergoing more back end work right now and will be complete by the weekend. So i will get to the bottom of it one way or another.
