Hi yea we are looking more to the roland as it seems to be a good all round package, This will be our first printer, due to popular demand, Have you got any recommendations for The printers and also a laminator ? we are speaking to Grafityp and signmaster…

Hi,
bought a CJV machine myself just under 2 months ago & not had any issues with it done plenty of print used about 8-10 cartridges, went for this machine for price, speed (bit faster than roland) & the print & cut. I can vouch for the quality, quite easy to use & maintain, support is good as well (only used this as the engineer only spent 2 hours on site, so just a few hick ups with getting my head round it) & if you shop about the Mimaki dealers you should get a good deal.Phil

I have had both Roland and now Mimaki JV33, Rolands are great easy to use and very reliable, Mimaki a little bit more complicated to learn but well worth the effort.
Print quality was always good on the Roland but is exceptionally good on the Mimaki i do not get any visible banding on most medias and very quick.
In my opinion there is not much to promote either machine above the other so it comes down to inks the Mimaki inks have printed on every media i have tried which i believe is down to the advantage of a full solvent over eco solvent.
Both good but the Mimaki gets my vote.

Russell.

Just bought a new Mimaki CJV30-130 print and cut with white .Found the quality excellent, no different to the Roland as we had a load of samples done by each machine. The price difference was the reason we went with Mimaki. Found we could get it for nearly £9000-00 cheaper than the lowest quote for a Roland with white option. Also you get a 2 year Gold warranty on the Mimaki instead of 1 year on the Roland

Had our CJV30 for a few months now and rate it very highly. Quality of print is superior to Roland if you need very fine quality although pos slower if you opt for white inks. Tracking and take up system work brilliantly for unattended printing and accuracy of cut is outstanding, being the best I have experienced so far and often obviating need for a bleed in the print.
