personally Chris I will do single or short runs at £5 minimum……50 plus ( same design) I would drop to £4.50……100 plus drop to £4.00 each.

    between 90p and a tenner.

thats what the prices are on the web Chris, so its what you think your customers will stand, given that they also can can do a google.
Hard area to price for small quantiies really, and especially for one or two, unless you are in a market/shop situation and you are set up to do small quantities for a premium.

    Hi all,
Tesco seem to be doing them for £6.97 with free collection in-store. Cheapest on ebay is around £6.00 including delivery – not sure how much postage it would actually be though.

    Cheers John

£1.94 First / £1.63 Second John. Plus the cost of your cardboard/polystyrene box and fillings/bubble wrap.

    Hi all,
At £6.00 there doesn’t seem to be a big profit in printing mugs after you work out your off takes. Postage, packaging, mug, ink, paper, tape, electricity, time, wear & tear, advertising and last but by no means least the VAT.

Hi John, Yeh, nice order – I must have my sums wrong somewhere down the line, unless its because i’m working on selling the mugs individually.

    Cheers John

i bought my sublimation setup the other month for self promotional purposes only. ive been asked continually now due to customers coming in and seeing samples ive been having a play around with. anyway… £7.50 would be the minimum ide do a mug for and that’s with most if not all artwork done for me. as has been said, low profit margins…. one wasted mug will cost you the next profit and so on…
i do not say this with no experience… we did sublimation when it first came out around 20 odd years ago… but dropped it a bit later to move solely into signs as we found very little profit in comparison to signage.
anyway… don’t be a busy fool and for god sake don’t be influenced by Mr normingtons reply or we will all be making fresh air in return for our products soon… 😉 :lol1:

I don’t push them anymore as I found very little profit in them however if asked I will do them as have stock leftover. The flat bed press was a much better investment and gets regular use doing cut vinyl to clothing and dye sub to t-shirts. I do low volume for £6 a mug for more I drop to as little as £4.50 a mug but I wouldn’t go any lower than that. Always found it hard to sell any sort of volume and any rejects soon strip the profit.

When selling on eBay we do the mugs for £4 but charge £3 P&P so all in all I think our prices are about the same as Johns at £5 a mug. Ive got one customer, a builder, who buys regularly from me who I charge £4 but he is a one off.
