they are all garment vinyl, and yes i make them in house, I bought an Xpress heat press, with the largest platen they do, very impressed, awesome bit of kit, and quite fun too, to be honest…. I like making my own t shirts etc. But good for work clothes and good for business too, just got my first proper job on it today too, 12 t shirts 4 jumpers and overalls, cant wait to get going.

I don’t know anything about garment vinyl, but what’s the lifespan? I’m thinking washing machines and irons here ๐Ÿ˜€

Marcella, Jus had email back from xpres, which is where i get my garment vinyl from , and they said this

"Once the materials have been pressed they transfers should last the life of the garment providing they are washed at the correct temperatures and in the correct way, they should last the life of the garment.

It would be difficult to give a specific answer as there can be many variables affecting this.
All of our materials have been tested and put through โ€˜lifetimeโ€™ wash tests before they are released"

So should be ok for long time. ๐Ÿ™‚

Most of the garment films are very good now the only problem is if they are ironed directly over the decoration, turning inside out is a workround.

i did a test t-shirt a while ago with xpres vinyl, easy cut, has been washed 20+ times at 40 no difference at all. Still looks new but t-shirt now showing a bit of wear!

i’ve never had any back yet and people who first ordered are buying more so it must be ok.

i have tried poly-flex once and it’s not quite as good, all xpres stuff seems excellent and not expensive.

    Hi Matt,

I’ve just got the xpress one as well. true about the fun side. Look out for the offers Kustom Kits do. Bought 200 cotton t-shirts for ยฃ100. Made my money back on the first 10 I printed ๐Ÿ™‚ Hmmm Printing………..

Another good source for the direct flex and digital print is Hexis, If you buy some from hexis, go for the premium digital. Superior product and doesnt curl while your positioning.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I love the t shirts, great design. I am new to this and wondered do you print the designs on the vinyl? What was the base colour if you printed?

    Thanks
