Printed Banner : Stars In Their Eyes
Posted by fluidedge on March 12, 2004 at 11:08 pmOur mate and skipper of our sunday league footy team was on Stars In Their Eyes last saturday as Harry Connick Jnr.
We all had a monster party to celebrate at a hotel in town.
Note the banner behind the shy and retiring star, knocked up in photoshop and printed straight onto banner material by the Cadet.

excellent mate that cadet is fairly banging out the work.
how are you finding it mate.. what you expected, better?
any gripes about it yet?thanks for any feedback 😉
-
Far far better than we expected, the results on white vinyl, clear and now banner stock have been stunning.
Just today replaced the yellow cartridge, the others still going strong.
No gripes yet and no problems other than our own cock-ups.
Just bought an eyeletting tool from DTP Supplies for next to nothing.
Now on the lookout for a second-hand industrial sewing machine so we can learn to stitch and hem.
So long as the lads in the team don’t find out!

I got a sneaky look at this last week, great work Chris! You didn’t tell me you printed it yourself though 😕 I feel a phone call coming along first thing Monday morning 😉
Thanks again for the great job with the stickers as well, customer collected them and was over the moon 😀 Plus its got ppl asking, so looks as if there’ll be more CorelDRAW files for Col to play with 😉 😉
Cheers, Dewi

Chris
What eyeletting tool did you buy?
Do you have a telephone number for DTP Supplies, how much did you pay?

was the eyelet machine anything like the ones i showed in the other post? 🙄
-
spent £50 incl postage for the hole maker, eyelet tool and a box of brass eyelets.
Bargain!

nice one mate.. did you buy the one like my own or the hand held punch type?
good link 😉

The ‘hit it with a mallet and hope your fingers are out of the way’ hand type.
Does the job for us.
The other things we’re using are the plastic grippers from dtp supplies. Excellent for banners or posters and re-usable.
