5m x 2.4m printed banner that I had to sub out.

This is the original Banner, but unfortunately the Banner Material went yellow after about 4 months, so I had to replace it FOC. The contract printer replaced it for me, but I had to pay the fitter to remove the old one and replace the new one. 🙁

Client is impressed with the service tho, and gave me a fire extinguisher for my van FOC too, so I was happy in the end.

Fitter was doing good business tho, this was the 4th banner he had replaced in a week, with the same complaint.

Nice job Shane, how’s it fitted, we have a 15 mtr x 2.2 mtr to fit to a wall next week and were going to use penny washers through the eyelets, curious to see how yours was fitted.

    Chris.

Sail track around all the edges mate. It is just about the only way it is done here now. easy to change banners, always dead tight and straight.

    Cheers

Sail track? is that like a Chanel that the banner slides into?

Yes chris, sew a 6mm rope or nylon spline into the banner edge, and that slides into the channel in the frame.

Rob. I don’t have the room. My subby has a 5m printer, and the staff to do the edging too, so I just send him the file in corel, and he sends it back ready to fit.

Problem is he is in melbourne, so freight takes a few days. We have a bloke that is local, but heaps dearer, even with the freight bill.

As far as the yellowing goes, the print area was fine, but anything white went yellow.
