  • Printable vinyl for sticking to rubber lorry mud flap!?

Has anyone come across a vinyl that’s printable and will stick to a rubber mud flap?

It’s for use across the back of an articulated lorry trailer so will take quite a bit of abuse.

If there’s no vinyl that will do the job has anyone got any other ideas

    Thank you!

I can’t say its something i’ve ever done but if there was anything that might stand up to it then it would be what they use for motocross bike vinyls with a really high stick and ultra thick laminate. I think Allprint use a brand called the thick stuff

I would just air on the side of caution. Perhaps offer the service but with reservations as you’ve never done it before and add there is no refund.

We screen printed onto a horse box mud guard, using ink designed for rubber and it still peeled off easy… :yikes:

Don’t think the MX vinyl will hold for very long, any digital print media will struggle to last very long on the rubber based mud flaps.

We’ve screen printed on the pad press before also using a specialist 2 part flexible ink designed for SB Rubber or TPPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) – I’d go down this route to avoid any customer related headaches!

Its really strange reading this again this morning and had a customer who actually had this done for a trailer, company that created it was called Beefy Flaps LMAO might not help you with material but you might be able to put the print out to them if they are willing.
