No mate, digimag can be printed and used without lamination, but it is very thin and best used for fridge magnets and not automotive use.

i second steve, Grafityp do it. i remember Nigel showing me some when we did the wrapping course at their place. it was a print of a world map on it and the quality of detail was excellent.
as shane said, and from my memory, it was thinner than the norm used on vehicles.

I use a 0.6mm ‘Fridge Magnet’ for making small promo magnets, but have always printed onto vinyl and then applied to the mag sheeting – I was never game to run it straight through my printer (VP540i). Can this size mag sheet be directly printed and scored??

    Cheers

I had an order for 100 A3 magnetic signs to go on the back of Transits. I printed directly onto the Grafityp magnetic sheet with my Mimaki ( a bit of a leap of faith I must admit) and it printed Ok. I still see them occasionally, and they still look good.

Thanks guys, I’ll get in touch with Grafityp and get some on order.

I did speak to the manufacturer but the minimum order was $1000!

If its for fridge magnets speak to Abel magnets, we get rolls of the stuff for a fraction of the grafityp price.

I’ve never tried printing it…… until today!! It was absolutely fine, just put the head on high setting, temps as normal. I think as long as you unwind the amount you need so the machine doesnt try and pull it it’ll be fine
